About this event

Sector Focus: Tech-enabled creative industries

About: Are you part of a tech-enabled creative company? Are you interested in expanding your creative business to Northern Europe? Do you want to meet with corporates and stakeholders in different markets? Are you looking to raise VC funding? If you answered yes to any of these, this session is a perfect fit.

The Mayor's International Business Programme is running a virtual roadshow to Europe for creative industries. The aim of this session is for you to pitch your business and help us understand what you would be looking to achieve, if you are selected to be part of the mission.

We ask that all companies attending the session have the below prepared in a pitch format:

  • What your company does and what your growth strategy for Europe is
  • Why you want to go on this mission and your desired outcomes
  • The companies/organisations you are specifically looking to connect with as part of the mission

We are working closely with our partners across Europe, which include local economic development groups, corporates and other key stakeholders (venture capitalists, accelerators, etc.) to find the best match for your company. This session is the first step to joining the mission and allows us to help craft the best experience for you.

Format: The session will focus on us learning from companies via their pitches on why they want to attend the mission. We will then also review who the project team is from the Mayor's International Business Programme and our colleagues in Europe.

Eligibility criteria: To join this trade mission, your company must fit the sector focus and be a member of the Mayor’s International Business Programme. When registering your interest, you will be asked a set of follow-up questions to ensure these criteria are met.

Any companies wishing to apply who are not yet part of the Mayor's International Business Programme, please note that you will need to apply and be accepted onto the programme to take part in the mission. Our eligibility criteria include: 20% YoY growth, £1m in revenue or funding equivalent (or combination of both) per annum, 10-249 employees. When registering your interest, you will be asked a set of follow-up questions to ensure the criteria are met and to apply if applicable. For more information about the programme, please click here. Please be sure to list specific companies you are seeking to meet with as well as a well-reasoned outline of why your company would be a good fit for this mission.
